Clapper App Launches “Nearby Feature,” Improves Connectivity among Users
Clapper is the choice mobile application for persons with low editing skills looking to create and share short-form videos. As connectivity is at the heart of every social app, the CEO of Clapper, Edison Chen, is thrilled to announce the inclusion of “Nearby Feature” in the Clapper App.
The Nearby feature is going to improve the already existing network on the Clapper App. It does so by ensuring that users can find other users near them and the contents they share. By turning on their location and activating the Nearby Feature, a Clapper user can see another user who lives close to them and the videos they share on the app.
Speaking about the new development, Edison Chen had this to say, “Our new “Nearby Feature” will finally allow creators to set the location of their videos and find other people’s content in nearby places. This is an opportunity to find new friends in areas closer to you and friends you want to get to know in different communities, states, or even countries.” Countries where Nearby works are: United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
Clapper users will find the Nearby Feature on the initial app page next to the Following and For You section. It allows users to see people’s videos based on their city or country. When the app is updated, users will see a prompt asking them to enable their location. Once this is done, they can begin using the feature to find users near them and share content.

Clapper has launched a hashtag to follow up the Nearby Feature addition to the app in a related development. The hashtag is #Nearby, and creators can use it in their videos and enable their location to showcase their surroundings and what they are up to. This hashtag is intended to improve connectivity allowing users to meet new people worldwide and persons living in their neighborhood.
